Hearts & Hammers Volunteers
Hearts & Hammers is a non-profit organization dedicated to
helping folks stay in their homes
when they are not able to make necessary repairs
themselves.
Our annual all-volunteer
workday is the first Saturday of May when
almost 500 volunteers will help rehab
30- 40 homes on South Whidbey.
We need volunteers with a wide
range of skills, including: Painters ~ Plumbers ~ Electricians
~ Carpenters ~ Cooks & Kitchen
Helpers ~ Yard Workers & Gardeners ~
Willing Laborers ~ Pick-up Trucks & Drivers ~ Wood Splitters.
All
are welcome from age 12 -
112!
Unfortunately, we can’t
allow anyone under 12 to volunteer. Medical
release forms will be provided for 12-17 year-olds. Click
the PDF icon to the left or the link
above to download the form.
Without the release, House Captains
will not be able to let minors
work. A release form will
be mailed to you to fill out.
Please
arrange your own childcare for children
under 12.
12-15 year olds with a medical release may
work with their parents only.
16-17 year olds need the medical release and
written parental permission.
